Cross Stitch Box STL File – Stitchable Lid Keepsake Box

3D print your own stitchable cross stitch box at home.

Stitch directly into the perforated lid - no fabric or hoop needed. When you're done, the clip-in cover slides inside the lid to hide all your thread ends for a clean, finished box.

This is an original GoodStrings design - the same box we make and sell as a finished physical product in our home studio, now available as a file you can print at home.

  • Grid spacing: Similar to Aida 11 - approximately 11 stitches per inch
  • Recommended: 3-4 strands of embroidery floss with a size 26 needle
  • Thread ends: Removable clip-in cover slides inside the lid to hide thread ends
  • Supports: Not required
  • Approximate filament use: 43 g per box

The files include all three printed parts: the box body, the stitchable lid, and the clip-in cover.

Resizing the file resizes the entire grid. It will not add stitches, and the spacing may no longer match Aida 11.

  • Slicer: Bambu Studio - settings are pre-loaded in the .3mf file

  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Wall loops: 2
  • Infill: 15%
  • Print orientation: Lid grid-side down, box body open side up, clip-in cover flat side down - pre-set in the .3mf file

You may print this box for yourself or as a personal gift for family or friends.

You may not sell printed boxes, include them in kits or classes, upload or share the files on MakerWorld, Thingiverse, Printables, or any other platform.

Personal-use files include a small GoodStrings text mark on the bottom of the box. This mark may not be removed, covered, or altered.
