Your String Art Supply Questions, Answered

String Art Supplies FAQs

What supplies do I need for string art?

At minimum, you’ll need a wood base, nails, and thread. Our string art nails and string art threads are chosen specifically to make the process easier and the results more polished.

Can I use regular nails and sewing thread?

You can, but results often suffer. Hardware nails may bend, rust, or come covered in dirt and grime that transfers onto your wood base, threads, and even your hands. Sewing thread can snap or lose tension. Our supplies are clean, durable, and tested for string art.

How do I choose the right pack size?

For small projects, a 75 g pack of nails and a few balls of thread are enough. For larger projects or workshops, bigger packs offer the best value and keep you stocked for multiple designs.
