Ornate Plaque Cross Stitch Frame – Stitchable Embroidery Blank

A stitchable cross stitch frame in an ornate plaque shape, made so you stitch your design straight into the frame. No hoop, no fabric, and no mounting once you are done, so the finished piece is ready to display the moment you tie off.

The shape came from those old room and flat number signs, the little plaques with scrollwork around the edge. We wanted a frame that already looks like something before a single stitch goes in, and this one has that. Stitch a small motif in the middle, or fill the whole panel, and the ornate border does the framing for you.

• Stitch directly into the frame through the built-in grid
• No hoop, no fabric, no stretching or mounting
• The stitched piece is displayed as soon as it is finished
• The grid is close to Aida 11 spacing

• Small: 15.5 x 10 cm (6.1 x 3.9 in), stitchable grid of 56 x 33 stitches
• Large: 25 x 16 cm (9.8 x 6.3 in), stitchable grid of 91 x 53 stitches

Made from PLA in our home studio. Available in wide range of colors, please pick yours from the dropdown menu when ordering.  

Stitching notes

Most stitchers find 3 to 4 strands works best on this grid, with a tapestry needle size 26.
